Product designer Antonio Meze - who, as well as headphones, has designed a variety of products including the FreeRider SkateCycle, Holokek digital poker table, I-Mobile phone, various bottles, and even an innovative new egg whisk - founded Meze Headphones in London, UK in 2009.

He later moved its headquarters to his home country of Romania and changed the name to Meze Audio; with the help of his team, each product undergoing a meticulous development process whereby every possible aspect is refined.

The perfection of each model comes by creating many iterations of sound tuning and frames, until a perfect balance is reached; they prefer to go through as many trials as humanly possible bypassing any marketing or management deadlines.

Meze aims to raise the bar in terms of audio quality, design and durability. With no plastic or glue in sight, Meze's 99 headphones are hand made to last using CNC carved wood ear cups, cast zinc alloy hardware with electroplated coating, stamped manganese spring steel headband, memory foam and soft PU leather. They also guaranteed to be fully serviceable, should any parts ever need to be replaced.

Through its open-back design, Meze wanted the 109 PRO to be vivid and exciting, empowering the listener to connect with music on a deeper level.
Carefully tuned by their in-house engineering team, it offers emotionally engaging sound with great detail, clarity and just the right amount of punch.
