Since 1994, MastersounD has been manufacturing high-end audio amplifiers of unsurpassed quality; the goal from the very beginning was to create a most perfect product, offering a blend of timeless style with the highest sonic reproduction possible.
MastersounD's experienced staff manufactures each product with extreme care and attention to detail in its laboratory in Arcugnano, Italy; only by sourcing and forging the best available components, they can then skilfully create unique hand-made products.
One of the most crucial components in creating an outstanding valve amplifier is the output transformer. MastersounD’s output transformers are wound in-house one at a time by hand on a mechanical winding machine, based on the passion, experience and research of late Cesare Sanavio.
By transmitting such tradition and knowledge to his son, Luciano Sanavio, he then explored new boundaries by innovating a unique transformer construction technique that is proprietary to MastersounD amplifiers.
Meanwhile his brother Lorenzo worked hard in bringing MastersounD forward to an even wider public, and now their products are deservedly recognised around the world.
Great dynamics, harmonic richness, true resolution, and musical involvement are the characteristics that blesses every MastersounD amplifier without the classic limitations imposed by traditional off-the-shelves output transformers.
This is a costly and time-consuming process that many manufacturers do not exploit, as it is much easier (and cheaper) to implement a pre-packaged transformer; this however is a crucial step in matching output valves and electronics, as it can lead a mediocre and middling sounding product to be an outstanding performing one as found in all MastersounD amplifiers.
MastersounD valve selection is the result of decades of continuous test and research for the best vacuum tubes manufacturers; this allows MastersounD to select only the best products from reliable companies.
MastersounD offers a variety of output valve configurations, starting with EL34, KT120 and KT150, as well as fabulous high-powered true single-ended amplifiers featuring 300B and 845 valves; all products offer healthy power outputs with vanishing low distortion, and a good majority can be used with average sensitivity loudspeakers.
